Welcome to Capital Ambition

A new Improvement and Efficiency Partnership for London

Capital Ambition is London’s Improvement and Efficiency Partnership. In April 2008 Capital Ambition was formed from the merger of four predecessor groups all of which worked across London’s authorities – the Regional Improvement Partnership (known as Capital Ambition), the London Centre of Excellence (which led on efficiency work in London authorities), the Improvement and Employment Division of London Councils, and London Connects (whose core and development e-government work was brought in from June).

To find out what this means for London, please read our What’s in it for you? Giving and taking to improve the capital booklet, and visit our Improvement & Efficiency Strategy for London page

We will be working to merge the websites from the predecessor bodies, but in the meantime the work resulting from the previous workstreams of Capital Ambition can be found on this site; efficiency projects and communications will continue on www.lcpe.gov.uk and e-government work on www.londonconnects.gov.uk

6 November - London Public Service Network Shared Service Vision and Benefits *Note the change of date*
Now that nearly every London borough has connected to LPSN or indicated intent to connect at a later stage, we have an opportunity to take the concept a step further.

London Connects have partnered with Private Public Ltd to start specifying a shared service over LPSN that allows boroughs to aggregate their approach to VoIP, data centres or other services. The project aims to be as practical as possible with delivery due by January 2009.

Attendance is open to any London government organisations and invitations will go out in the next couple of days.
