Targets
Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA)
All local authorities are measured by the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA). Capital Ambition will aim to ensure that:
- Every London authority has at least a two-star rating by December 2008
- At least 90 per cent of London authorities achieve a positive direction of travel statement each year
To achieve this, Capital Ambition has targeted its funding to authorities most in need of support and this funding is going directly to improve public services. For more information on how this is being achieved, please visit the Improvement in Action pages of the website.
Equality Standard for Local Government
Capital Ambition has an important target of 90% of authorities reaching Level 4 of the Equality Standard for Local Government (ESLG) by the end of 2008. Further information on Capital Ambition’s work in this area can be found on the Projects section of this website.
Peer Support
Capital Ambition is committed to providing support to authorities through peer support and mutuality. Capital Ambition has a target of 55 Officer and 55 Member accredited peers by the end of 2008. Work has begun on matching individuals with specialist knowledge and placing them with authorities where their expertise is required. For more information on the Peer Support Scheme, please visit the Peers and Secondments pages of the Capital Ambition website.
